Jullian Assange is trying to influence the outcome of the election and there are questions as to whether he is acting as an agent of the Russian government.

Assange has repeatedly vowed to release information expected to be damaging to Clinton, and on Thursday made public the sixth installment of material allegedly stolen from Podesta, Clinton’s campaign chairman.

The WikiLeaks Twitter account, believed to be manned by Assange, vacillates daily between defending the organization against detractors and promoting damaging stories about Clinton — some of which border on conspiracy theory.

It rarely touches on Trump, and Assange in interviews has been cagey about his support of the business mogul. Trump confidante Roger Stone has repeatedly claimed contact with Assange, telling CBS Miami Wednesday that he has “a back channel communication” with Assange via a mutual friend with whom he dined as recently as last week.

U.S. intelligence last week publicly blamed the Russian government for the hack on the DNC and other political organizations, leading many to question whether WikiLeaks is now an agent of Moscow.

“Media needs to stop treating WikiLeaks like it is same as FOIA. Assange is colluding with Russian government to help [GOP nominee Donald Trump],” Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon tweeted Monday, referring to the Freedom of Information Act.

Suspicion that Assange might be acting at the behest of the Russian government gained steam in 2012 when he briefly hosted a talk show on RT, a Kremlin-backed news network.

But [former WikiLeaks spokesmsn Daniel] Domscheit-Berg, and others tracking Assange’s organization say they doubt he is taking orders from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I’m leery of attributing Assange as being directly supported [by Russia]. I think it’s fair to say that in furthering his own agenda, he is willing to be a tool of the Russians,” said Nicholas Weaver, a senior researcher at the International Computer Science Institute.

Assange and Snowden are both collaborating with the FSB.

I think any credibility of Assaunge, and wikileaks has been lost…A tool of the Russian Propaganda organization is just that, a tool…there is no way that any of the leaks can be documented as not being falsified…or doctored…Plus, I don’t see any damning evidence with any of the leaked documents, and I don’t care…Trump is another Tool for the Putin Machine…Trump is a seditious bastid, and a traitor to our nation…His base is the very example of what the Ugly American looks like…

I think he believes rump is his ticket home.

You know that’s actually a good theory; I hadn’t thought of that.

Russia and Israel are both trying to sway our elections and the republicans are loving it! Why do they hate America?

  • mea_mark

Many of those republicans have been beaten down by the global neoliberal capitalist machine that #Hillary represents, so they welcome him as a champion. When the dems begin to realize that there are a lot of people out there that need help more than ridicule hate and a demeaning attitude directed at them, then maybe they will see things differently. For now though, the democratic hate machine is turned up pretty high and is putting down fellow Americans that have been victims of unchecked neoliberal globalization.

      You haven’t visited Breitbart latley?

Now there’s a hate machine for ya.

      • mea_mark

I never said that there weren’t haters on the far right. They at least acknowledge it, dems like to pretend they are tolerant and accepting of people.

        • anothertoothpick

The right has spent the last decade denying that Obama is a US citizen.

They deserve no tolerance from me.

And if they think trump is the right guy to make globalization go away they should check and see who manufactures trumps lines.

I probably wouldn’t read trumps or Clinton’s emails.

        They are EMAILS for chrissake.

Half of them are probably advertising about “how somebody s sister is making a thousand dollars a week posting on the internet.

        • Suzanne McFly

I hope it isn’t just us poor peons who have to get those types of emails.

If the media would pay attention to Trump’s few, and usually idiotic statements on international policy, they would see that he is totally following the Putin line, but cannot even keep details or substance clear in his mind; from Ukraine, NATO, and the recent foolish comments about the Serbs, he is the monkey for the organ grinder, Vladimir.

  • The Original Just Me

Why would the Republicans be Outraged ??? The Russians are doing it FOR the Republicans.

Trump’s roster of advisers and campaign donors is filled with people who are either directly or indirectly connected to Russia. Paul Manafort, chairman of Trump’s campaign, was a longtime adviser to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin whose ouster set in motion a chain of events that led to Russian intervention in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

Howard Lorber, a friend of Trump’s and a major donor to his campaign, has significant investments in Russia, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

And there’s also Boris Epshteyn, a Trump surrogate who frequently appears on television and describes himself as a senior adviser to the campaign. The Russia-born investment banker and attorney moderated a panel at an October 2013 conference in New York City called “Invest in Moscow!” The panel was mainly comprised of Moscow city government officials, like Sergey Cheremin, a city minister who heads Moscow’s foreign economic and international relations department.

Trump would be doing much better if He was running for President of Russia.

Yeah, that doesn’t make me feel any better. It’s a distinction without a difference. Assange has lost a tremendous amount of support in this country. People who would be his natural ally, like me, no longer care about anything he does or says. And that lack of concern may lead our government to believe they can get away with removing him from the embassy by force.

Ho hum… this is me not caring what happens to the tool.
